Aaron originally started playing in pipe bands to assist the COB Juvenile band when they were short of a Bass Drummer at a contest in 2004. In 2005 he had commenced learning the snare drum and competed in Juvenile and Grade 4 that same year. The start of 2006 saw him become the Lead Drummer for COB’s Juvenile and Grade 4 (#3) band. He was Lead Drummer for the band during their trip to Scotland in 2006 where they competed in 7 competitions.
2007 saw Aaron take a hiatus from playing in pipe bands for the first 8 months as he had left school, started a traineeship and needed to give these life changing events some priority in his life. By the start of the competition season, COB had not found a replacement Lead Drummer and Aaron went back to assist the band to “remain competitive and on the park”. 2008 saw Aaron depart the COB organization and take up the position of Drum Sergeant with the Hawkesbury City Pipe Band Inc.
And like most young men, his love is a car, a 2007 Ford Sports Festiva.
