LINDA   Saunders

I was born and raised in South London and came to Australia as a 10 pound Pom and never looked back.  I resided in Adelaide for a while until I discovered Sydney and my teenage sweetheart, who is now a learner drummer.

I have done a few crazy things in my life such as rally car driving in a pink Mini in the middle of the night around the country lanes of England, but learning to play the bagpipes is one of the more wilder things I have done, according to my son.

I had the good luck to meet Barry Gray in October 2007  and subsequently moved to Blacktown Band and then on to Hawkesbury band.  Anzac Day 2008 was my first official engagement with the band.  It was equally very exciting and very scary as I stood there in a borrowed kilt and played very badly.

The learner drummer and I have lived in Berowra for thirty years in a beautiful house nestled in trees, and have nearly been consumed by bushfires twice. We have a son, Chris and are eagerly awaiting grandchildren.
