Hawkesbury City Pipe Band

The Hawkesbury City Pipe Band competes in Grade 4 competition, participates in parades, public performances and corporate events and functions.

We are always interested in increasing our membership and are keen to attract experienced players who would like to be part of a progressive band committed to improving at each and every practice, performance and competition.

To assist the growth and supplement our membership, we also run a structured tutorial programme where people whom we teach pipes or drums (for a small fee), eventually join our band.

There is no age restriction for people wishing to learn an instrument and we take on students from the age of 8 years of age.

Hawkesbury City Pipe Band is based in Windsor in the beautiful Hawkesbury Valley.

We practice on Monday and Thursday nights from 6.30pm. in the “Dungeon” behind the Council buildings on George St, Windsor.

If you would like to come along and visit one of our practices, you are welcome but please contact us first to make sure we are going to be there.

The Hawkesbury City Pipe Band is pleased to announce that Nick Webb has joined the band as its Drum Sergeant.

Nick comes to the band with a wealth of knowledge and experience having over the last 30 years led the following Grade 1 and 2 drum corps in Sydney: City of Blacktown, Rooty Hill and St.Marys.

We believe that Nick's addition to our band will with "round out" our current tutor and mentoring team and avail our young and enthusiastic drum corps the opportunity to progress and move closer toward our goal of becoming a competitive Grade 4 band leading up to the Australian Pipe Band Championships in November 2008.
